I have heard that one can use btbroadband to make free phone calls, both national and international, through the computer, Can anyone tell me about it?

There are no free calls from PC to landline numbers or mobiles. You can use VOIP to call from one PC to another PC with VOIP using services such as Skype or Voipbuster. Voipbuster will give you 120 days of free calls to landlines and mobiles if you deposit 8euros initially. After that they will charge you, but less than BT.
